At New Horizon School, we place great importance on the strength of our academic program. Our Preschoolers receive opportunity for the developmentally appropriate activities to prepare them for reading, math, and science. Language activities are integrated throughout all academic and play activities. The Elementary school curriculum follows the State of California guidelines and uses state adopted text books. It provides young learners with a solid educational foundation in the language arts ( reading, creative writing, handwriting, English grammar), mathematics, science, and social studies.

Children at New Horizon School receive additional benefits in their education from the school. Preschool and Elementary children enjoy an enriched and integrated value based Islamic curriculum which teaches the language of the Quran (Arabic), and the practical values and etiquette of our faith. There is a specific instruction time for Arabic/Quran and Islamic studies. We also have arts & crafts, painting, baking, physical education and music classes. Kdg. children take the Stanford Achievement Test and the elementary takes the CTP III Test. Our children rate 1 1/2 to 2 years ahead of the national norm.
